Hey American Students! Before signing up for the University of London External Laws Programme, check whether you will be eligible to take the Bar exam in your home State with an English law degree. There are 50 sets of rules and each State is different. What flies in New York gets you nowhere in Nebraska.

The American Bar Association publishes the Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admissions Requirements annually. It currently costs $15.00 and the clarity it provides makes it worth every penny.

Canadian students will find the link to the Federation of Law Societies of Canada and the rules re foreign law degreesĀ  here.
